Welsh Baccalaureate
Welcome to the Welsh Baccalaureate Department!
All pupils in years 10, 11, 12 and 13 study this subject by completing four challenges; Community Challenge, Global Citizenship Challenge, Enterprise and Employability Challenge and the Extended Project. Pupils gain the Skills Certificate qualification at the end of year 11 and 13, and, depending on other qualifications gained, the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.
The work within the challenges certainly offers something for everyone. The Baccalaureate allows pupils to develop a number of skills that help with further study and increases pupils' general knowledge of the world around them. The Baccalaureate is also very beneficial for the world of work with employers recognising its benefits.
